Born in the multicultural heart of Mumbai, now living in Chennai. Aruna Sairam was immersed in music from birth. Under the careful nurturing wings of her mother, Rajalksmi Sethuraman, followed by the rigorous guidance of the legendary Sangita Kalanidhi Smt. T. Brinda, she mastered the pure, classical style of the Veena Dhanammal lineage. Her musical identity is a unique tapestry, woven from the classical grammar of the South and the cosmopolitan influences of her upbringing.
