Dear Aruna Sairam garu,

I am Dr.Suman Kollipara and I attended your concert just a couple of hours back in Seattle, USA.

I could not stop letting my emotions flowing out and I am here sending the packets of emotions that have come out with your electrifying concert here today.

You have brought Spring season (vasantham) to Seattle. Spring in Northwest is the most of the beautiful in the world for its vibrant colors and lively ambience. This year Spring was delayed and now we know the reason why, The Mother Nature had sent her angle daughter to bring the colorful rainbow in form of her musical flow to not just form a bridge between Indian and America but to let the whole world know that Spring had arrived with the melody of Kokila from India, the singing bird, which starts singing with the freshness and tenderness of the first tender leaves on the tress after a severe winter.

It was like traveling in Rajadhani Express from Kanya Kumari to Kashmir. The flow of music not only soothened the hearts, but also made the tears roll down the cheeks; they were not tears of water, but pearls of ecstasy coming from the emotional oysters of hearts. It is said the purest form of pearl is formed in an oysters when the Swati chinuku (rain drop) falls in the oyster. In a similar manner, human hearts yearn for that emotional touch from a very few angels walking on the earth to generate the pearl of ecstasy.

The purest form of expression in this world is Art, and your concert did not have any barriers whatsoever, geographical, cultural, linguistic nor racial. It mesmerized one and all in the Emerald city of the world, known for its purity in Green of the tender plants. This evening your voice spread like Malaya maarutham, the freshness in the air into the audience and gave a new meaning to the word “Music”. Art is considered the purest when it can emotionally connect 2 totally unknown individuals in the shortest period of time. Your emotional touch to the audience made all of us spellbound with the exhilarating performance.

You are the MS Subbalakshmi of the next generation, the connecting link between the nostalgic past and the effervescent future.

It took me to a state of Nirvana and made the atmosphere perfect for Meditation. I could feel my mother in front of me trying to a sing a lullaby for me and put me to that perfect state all of us wants to be in, during this high tech speed age. I think I would have missed a treasure of life time if I did not come to this concert. I did not know you when I walked into the concert. But at the end of 3 hours you are some one special to me, you have creates a special place in my heart, that ever smiling and soothening expression on your face reminded me all through the concert my mother whom I consider everything for me. Photography is my hobby and this evening when I walked into the concert I walked in without my camera. But at the break time I ran back onto the parking lot to grab my camera. The art you rendered made the whole auditorium as if heaven has come down to earth and your angelic appearance could not stop my fingers clicking the camera, beauty of expressional music is a rare a talent and you are master of it. Many people learn and sing music, but to touch the hearts and galvanizing the emotions and connecting with them all is a magic only you can do.

At the end of concert I felt like I wanted to spend lot of time talking to you.

I am sure I will have another opportunity to listen to Gandharva gayani of the Heavens send to by Gods to bless us all with melody of swaras.

With best wishes,
Dr. Suman Kollipara
